Benefits for London bloggers

Let’s swap tips, organise collaborations and generally geek-out about London…

  • See a different side to your city, sometimes with exclusive access to private locations.
  • Gain new followers on social media and promote your blog.
  • Organise collaborations, swap blogging tips and be inspired.
  • Meet and chat with friendly, like-minded bloggers.

Benefits for London heritage sites, museums and guides

Hosting our bloggers is a great way to…

  • Get free promotion on social media, with access to new targeted audiences.
  • Meet new contacts and network to arrange further collaborations.
  • Spread the word about your events, exhibitions and upcoming projects.

Events could be based around a guided tour, viewing or an event you’re hosting already. You don’t have to show us a private section of your site or have anything exclusive to offer (although it definitely helps!) All we ask is for something special and unique that London history/culture enthusiasts would like.

If you’d like to host our group, please write to me at apeaceoflondon [at] gmail [dot] com.

Our recent events and coverage

Tour of St John’s Gate, Clerkenwell

Our July meet took place at St John’s Gate, where we had a private tour of the Museum of the Order of St John and the gate itself.

Katie from Look Up London was one of a few of us to post about the tour on Instagram, and I wrote a post about the experience.

Private view of the Great Hall at St Bart’s Hospital Museum

In May 2017, around 25 London history bloggers met at St Bart’s Hospital to celebrate their museum’s 20th birthday, enjoy a private tour of Hogarth’s staircase and the Great Hall by twilight, and have some birthday cake!

Our bloggers Instagrammed and tweeted about the evening…

How lucky was I last night! I had a private audience with a staircase…painted by William Hogarth. We were invited to the St Bart’s Hospital Museum for a private view of Hogarth’s splendid staircase and the Great Hall. The museum is celebrating its 20th birthday, whilst St Bart’s is nearly 900 years old and Britain’s oldest hospital. Thanks to Charlotte @apeaceoflondon for organising the evening. It was great to hook up with fellow London bloggers @livinglon @londoncitycalling and @londonguidedwalks #hogarth #staircase #art #stbartholomew #bartsmuseum20 #smithfield #lookuplondon #mural # #thisislondon #visitbritain #londonhistory #anglophile #mydarlinglondon #lovelondon #locallondon #seemycity #outwithlocals #thisislondon #visitlondon #ilovelondon #mylondon #londontown #londonbylondoners #londonblogger

Living London wandering of Lambeth and Vauxhall

Our held our first blogger event on a sunny spring day in early 2017 — fellow blogger Living London showed about 10 bloggers round her favourite hidden gems just south of the Thames. It was such a fun and inspiring day — I blogged about it here and there was, of course, lots of Instagramming going on…
